ဆံစမွ ေျခဖ်ားအထိ ေဝါဟာရအသံုးအႏႈန္းမ်ားတြင္ ယခုတစ္ပတ္အတြက္ လွ်ာ (Tongue) ႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ေသာ ေဝါဟာရ အသံုးအႏႈန္းမ်ားကို ဆက္လက္ မွ်ေဝလိုက္ပါသည္။

လွ်ာ(Tongue)ကို နာမ္(noun) အျဖစ္သံုးေသာ ေဝါဟာရပံုစံမ်ား

I burnt my tongue on some soup last night. (မေန႔ညက စြပ္ျပဳတ္ေသာက္တာ လွ်ာ အပူေလာင္ သြားတယ္)

 

She has a very sharp tongue. (သူက လွ်ာ/ အာသြက္တယ္)

I speak English, but my mother tongue is Myanmar. (ကၽြန္ေတာ္က အဂၤလိပ္စကား ေျပာေပမယ့္ မိခင္ဘာသာစကား ကေတာ့ ျမန္မာစကားပါ)

tongue-in-cheek (adj)                             = ေထ့ေသာ၊ ေငါ့ေသာ၊ ပ်က္လံုးထုတ္ေသာ

tongue-tied (adj)                                   = အာေစးထည့္ထားေသာ

mother tongue (n)                                 = မိခင္ဘာသာာစကား (native language)

tongue twister (n)                                  = လွ်ာသြက္ေစရန္ ေလ့က်င့္ရေသာ စကား

 

ဥပမာ   ေတာင္ေပၚက ရွမ္းကေလး၊ ေလွ်ာ္ထမ္းလို႔ေျပး

          ရွည္တဲ့ေလွ်ာ္က ရွည္၊ တိုတဲ့ေလွ်ာ္က တို။

e.g.    She sells sea shells on the seashore.

အဂၤလိပ္ဘာသာစကား ေလ့လာသူတိုင္း ေဝါဟာရ ၾကြယ္ဝကာ လိုသလို အသံုးျပဳႏိုင္ၾကပါေစ ……
