    Job Advertisement for Accountability Coordinator


Plan International is an international child and youth development organization dedicated to promote the realization of children and young people’s rights, especially girl’s rights, in both development and humanitarian settings. Plan International in Myanmar is supporting a broad spectrum of initiatives designed to support integrated child development and youth empowerment outcomes that are strategically aligned with the national government’s priorities. Sectors of focus include: Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Child Protection, Adolescent Development, Youth Economic Empowerment, Youth-Led Peace Building and Social Cohesion, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Prevention among young people.

Job purpose

Plan Myanmar is seeking an experienced accountability person to ensure proper feedback and compliant mechanism in humanitarian works. And also, regular collection and tracking the feedback and complain from community. This position holder to build capacity building to staff and support to project staff to establish and to aware feedback process in community. He/she will organize to response timely and effectively on the communities raise voices and issue coordinate with project/ programme managers. He/She will work directly under the Humanitarian Program Unit Manager to manage and improve the intervention based on community feedback and concern. This position will lean the accountability and other monitoring, evaluation and research knowledge the Sittwe Program unit with support from M&E Specialist at Yangon level. The post holder will work closely with field-based project and other monitoring and evaluation staff under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.


Dimensions of Role:


  • Develop and Upgrade the relevance feedback mechanism with community desires.
  • Train and support to project and programme to aware feedback and accountability knowledge.
  • To support project/programme team for establishing feedback mechanism in community.
  • Ensure proper feedback data collection against guideline of organizational Feedback Mechanism.
  • To provide guideline and note for community awareness session for strengthening our feedback system by raise the community voices and opinion on our implementations.
  • Held the meeting with various community such as men, women, boys and girls to listen the community voice for improving program/project quality.
  • Organize and lead the repose of community feedback with timely and effectively.
  • To provide analysis of feedback data to HPUM and CO M&E specialist regularly.
  • Maintain and kept database by coordinate with project team and M&E staff.
  • Monitor the quality of implementation and act as accountability focal point projects
  • Regularly informed the related feedback information to HPUM and CO MER Specialist.
  • Lead regular assessment and review sessions on the stratification level and met with project’s feedback related indicators.
  • Organize and inform to respective focal for response the appeal compliant of community including communities’ compliant related with CoC, Fraud and Safeguarding Children and Young People issues.


Key End Results and Typical Responsibilities:


  1. Develop/Upgrade the beneficiary feedback / complaint addressing mechanism under the supervision of M&E specialist ensure it is working according to the core humanitarian standards
  2. Develop IEC materials such as child and/or user friendly to aware community
  3. Support to programme /project team to ensure the feedback mechanism establishment, awareness session and regular data collection in community level.
  4. Keeping record and regular submit the finding and result of project/program to upper level management.
  5. Lead and supervise the community feedback related meeting, data collection and sharing session in community level.


The incumbent must be prepared to travel within the designated operational areas of Rakhine State and should be able to manage large amounts of quantitative data effectively with supervision and guidance by HPUM and MER Specialist. This position is based in Sittwe with up to 50 % travel to the field.
