For Admin & Logistics Officer- Mrauk U Program Unit (Rakhine )


Plan International is an international humanitarian, child-centred development organization, implementing programmes that promote the realization and fulfillment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty. Plan Myanmar is seeking an Admin and Logistic Officer to support its Humanitarian Field Office in Mrauk U. The position is based in Mrauk U, Rakhine State and will require frequent travel to the project areas.

Position:                                             Admin & Logistics Officer

Reports to:                                        Deputy Humanitarian Program Unit Manager

Assignment Duration:                      6 months contract with possibility the renewal

Job Purpose: To be responsible for the day-to-day administration & logistics operations. To ensure necessary admin & logistics support is provided to the programme team and responsible for all Admin and logistics related issues. Moreover, he/she needs to assist and advise the Programme Unit Manager & admin & logistics coordinator on admin and Logistics related issues. He/She will submit monthly report for the activities which will be admin & logistics and   Coordinates with admin & logistics coordinator in Sittwe Office.

The admin & logistic officer will work with admin & logistics coordinator & program managers to develop, maintain and execute comprehensive procurement planning, logistical arrangements and administration activities in Mrauk U Program Unit area.

Procurement and Supply Management: With the support of the admin & logistics coordinator in Sittwe, will perform market research, collect quotes, draft tenders and contracts and liaise specialist with contractors to ensure contracts are developed in accordance with Plan's internal policies and within a timely manner

Logistics and Transportation: He/She will be responsible for day to day logistical arrangements involving transportation of goods, booking of travel and accommodation for field missions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Citizen of Myanmar · University degree in relevant field · Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in logistics, procurement, HR support to development or private sector projects. · Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders including local partners and sector working group. · Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines consistently. · Understanding of children’s rights and gender equality. · Good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point). · Good English skill both oral & written · Willingness to travel to remote area.
