The British Council is the UK’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations. We create international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and build trust between them worldwide.

British Council Myanmar currently operates through two main offices in Yangon and Mandalay and two project offices in Yangon.

We employ approximately 180 staff, including project staff, teachers and trainers. We operate as the Cultural Section of the British Embassy and our main Yangon office is co-located with the Embassy.

Location : Yangon
Salary : Pay band G (from $1249 per month)
Contract : Indefinite Contract
Closing Date : 25 July 2016 (23:59 UK Time)

We are seeking Finance Coordinator on a permanent basis to provide financial services and advice to British Council staff in order to ensure efficient, secure and appropriately controlled financial environment.

To succeed in this post, the successful applicant will require minimum 3years experience in accounting and financial management. As the Finance Coordinator, you will support;

  • Monitoring of cash operations
  • Monitoring of bank operations
  • Financial management and control
  • Income reconciliation
  • Checking travel claims

Suitable candidates for this job will need Financial accounting and control skills, Analytical thinking about financial processes, Management accounting and Financial Management skill and IT skills. Experience on SAP would be advantageous.
