Position: Humanitarian Project Officer (DRR)
Accountable to: Humanitarian Project Manager
Assignment Type: One year contract with possibility of renewal

Duty Station: Myitkyina, Kachin State Myanmar
Job background: The Humanitarian Project Officer (DRR) provide technical support to implementing partner and community in DRR activities to enhance community resilience- at least 70% of the time spent in the field with local implementing partner. Lead implementation of DRR activities in targeted camps with technical support from DRR specialist. Support project manager in fulfilling the quality of the GFFO funded multi sectorial lifesaving emergency in Kachin project. Close coordination with partners, communities and other relevant stakeholders in community level of project activities. Represent Plan International’s values and project objectives in clear and consistent communication with community level as needed.
Job purpose: The position is responsible for providing technical support to implementing partner, communities. This position is responsible for regular monitoring of project implementation activities in the field implementation under the supervision of Humanitarian Project Coordinator and HPM. The position is responsible to organize proper planning with partner staff ensure DRR related needs in the targeted camps. The role will be responsible for ensuring reporting and evaluation system are in place for all field activities. It is essential this person is able to produce project activity report and field monitoring report in timely manner. The role needs to be familiar with intermediate child protection principles and response protocols and able to understand when a situation is dangerous for a community member and share with information to appropriate resource.
