Position - Communications Manager
Location - British Council Yangon office
Duration - 2 years fixed term contract
Payband - Grade G
Closing date - 10 June 2018 (23.59 UK time)
In this role as the Communications Manager, you will deliver the country communications plan, which aligns with the British Council’s global communications strategy, the regional communications strategy and plan, enables country strategies and goals and supports country programmes and activities.
The purpose of this role is to support the execution of a communication strategy (internal and external) within the country. Led by the Senior Communication Manager, and working with programme staff, you will create and manage campaigns related to internal and change communications, and external communications within the country. These campaigns will reinforce the British Council’s position as a cultural relations organisation with high quality products and services that positively change lives.
To be successful, you will possess a Degree qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, or equivalent level of experience. You should have considerable experience in creating communications campaigns for different audiences across different platform and experience working in a matrix situation with multiple stakeholders and deadlines. Excellent written and spoken English language skills are essential.
